Our goal as Christians shouldn't be only to evangelize to people, but also to their thoughts. If we change the ideals of society then it would make reaching them so much easier. We can change the thinking process in the area of education, families, government, arts etc… We were called to change the ideals of society and to reach those where the gospel hasn’t yet been heard or taught. Transformation along with vision is created with commitment to be successful. Vision and commitment have to go together to transform anything. Vision without commitment is a dream that will never come true; it’s pure illusion.
Luke 14:33 “Those of you who do not give up all that you have cannot be my disciples.” You have to surrender yourself completely.
Jeremiah 29:13 “If you seek me with all your heart you will find me.” All the disciples gave up everything they had to follow after Jesus.
We need to be committed to seeking God; Psalm 27:4. A Christian cannot live without the presence of God or prayer. We cannot do the work of God without God. We are doing a work and going against the enemy with the help of God. The word of God is when the Bible creates revelations in our hearts and our minds.
Isaiah 55:3 “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.”
Be committed to hating sin. We cannot be friends of sin because that is what sent Jesus to the cross. (1 John 3) We cannot practice sin or make up excuses for it. We must be open about our mistakes and come clean so that we can be redeemed by God. Do not justify your sin because it means you are living in darkness. By confessing and repenting from your sin, you are loving God and hating darkness. (1 John 1:7&9)
True holiness is to be holy when nobody is looking and nobody sees us. Nobody sees us in our mind, to keep our thoughts holy even though nobody can see it means we are truly being holy. (Philippians 4:8) To hate sin it is necessary to not feed it. Colossians 3:5 “Put to death the earthly things inside of us.” Do not feeds the desires of the flesh; kill sin by starvation. We cannot use the enemy’s weapons against the enemy; we have to use God’s weapons.
Let us be 100% committed and willing to let God use us and lead us. You will find in the bible that the call comes only to those who seek it. We need to seek the call that God has for each of us. If we don’t have a call from God, it’s because we haven’t sought it out and we haven’t asked God for it.
